A smallish Cordyline native to moist subtropical forest in eastern Australia that forms a branching trunk to 3 m (10 ft.) tall. The broad, stalked, upright leaves are green or tinged with various shades of red in different cultivars. Prefers part shade position and moist soil. Great plant to brighten up any tropical garden. Great for around pools.
